Happy marriages lead to better health

This perennial question is the subject of an article that appeared in the New York Times Magazine section April 2010. Research on the immune system during times of marital conflict and bliss supports the belief that happily married (or partnered) couples (any gender combination) do live longer lives.

The article looks at some of the earliest research done on this and offers an interesting look at some of the contemporary research into the physiological impact of successful coupling.
