She said what?
Thankfully we don’t have to endure another 4 more years of anti-science & intellectualism since the defeat of the McCain/Palin ticket. When Palin implied that the US govt was wasting its money on researching fruit flies (and doing it in Paris, France – gasp), she showed incredible ignorance about the significance of fruit flies to scientific research in the fields of genetics, cell biology, and neuroscience to name but a few.
